The New McDonald’s Headquarters To Get McDonalds On Ground Level

The new McDonald’s Headquarters at 1035 W. Randolph Street finally has the go-ahead to open a McDonald’s on the ground floor. The nearly three million-dollar first floor construction was issued a building permit yesterday for the interior build out of the McDonald’s restaurant space. The building is set to be finished this Spring, according to the most recent report by the Chicago Tribune. The structure is being built in West Town, at Oprah Winfrey’s old Harpo Studios and will employ 2,000 new McDonald’s Headquarters employees when finished.

This news follows the permit issued for 210 N. Carpenter Street in August, where developing company Sterling Bay is working on a 12-story boutique office development so-called ‘vendor village,’ that will complement the McDonald’s Headquarters. Chicagoans can only hope that the first floor location will pay homage to the vintage replica restaurant in Des Plaines at 400 Lee Street that could be torn down any day now. The Des Plaines replica hasn’t been operating for 33 years, but served as the first walk-up location and was then plagued by flooding. Anything of historical value will be taken from the location before it’s demolished, a spokeswoman said.

Things to Do in Yuma, AZ: Castle Dome City, Ghost Town and Museum

Castle Dome City was founded on the second mine to be patented in 1871 and was the longest working mine in Arizona, operational until 1979 when the price of silver ore dropped drastically. There are more than 300 mines in the Castle Dome District, all of which have been explored by the museum, with the town currently sitting on 3 patented mines-Floral Temple, Floral Temple Extension, and Castle Dome. A group of citizens formed a museum and asked permission to salvage everything that they could from the sites and acquired the buildings, artifacts, and manuscripts, as well and mine contents. Recently, Hull Mine was also purchased and the museum has plans to expand 170 acres and eventually offer underground mine tours. Most of the artifacts in Castle Dome City, Ghost Town come from the Castle Dome City Mining District and were salvaged when the Fish and Wildlife Department decided to remove the abandoned mining sites.

Carmelita’s Cantina- The cantina features mining tables from the 1800’s thought to be the last primitive tales built by miners of the time. The Castle Dome Mining District is comprised of 300 mines that are 700 feet deep. The town, Castle Dome City, sits on 3 patented mines including its namesake, Castle Dome. The museum has recently purchased Hull mine which includes a system of 10 patented mines. Most of the artifacts that are in the Castle Dome City Museum were taken from the Castle Dome and Floral Temple Mines including the 1889 Levi’s, clothing, dynamite, rods, notes, canned goods, tools, ore cars, buckets, and glass bottle dating back to 1874.

The newly acquired Hull Mines were worked until 1990 and tied into the Railroad mine. The Museum is hoping to be able to offer underground mine tours of Hull Mines in the future.

Estimates and Prices at Fixr

For one thing, condos come as older buildings which have been rehabilitated, as two-story homes, and in buildings holding only one or two units each. The above figures place this construction at an $85 and $200 per square foot cost, though national average stands at $125 for most contractors. This pricing structure assumes that carpenters, masons and excavators charge an average of $70 per hour, electricians between $65 to $85 per hour, painters between $20 and $35 per hour and plumbers between $45 and $65 per hour. This sort of building would not come in at a simple cost of $85 per square foot due simply to the excessive amount of construction required on the interior. A two-story unit of wooden construction with two condominiums would run roughly $484,500 in total costs. Materials would cost around $238,000, labor would cost roughly $238,200, machine costs would stand at roughly $8,300 and the contractor would take in over $67,000 for the project. Most owners rely on both an architect and a contractor, and the architect will require approximately 10 – 17% of the total building budget; An architect will:Determine the scope of the project and establish a preliminary budget;Draft list of proposed work, budget, and outline of plans;Create the schematic design and draft floor plans with elevation drawings. Based on figures given the architect on this project would receive from $48,500 to $82,400 for their services. A contractor will:Provide the services and materials required for the entire job;Hire subcontractors according to need;Suggest plans and ideas to owner to help them meet goals;Deliver final cleanup of entire home;Pull all permits for work and utility installation; and. For doing all of the day to day management of the project the average contractor earns around $85 per square foot. On the average home construction described here the average contractor would account for roughly $66,600 in markup and indirect fees. A general bungalow construction project will cover:Bath fixtures.

Lazy J 35 Combo Review

Lazy J has gained a fine reputation with UK guitarists, and we grab the chance to inspect the brand-new 3×10″ combo. Britain’s leading windmiller already owns a bunch of Lazy J combos, and when he requested a 3×10″ extension cab for one of them, the results were so impressive that the natural next step was a combo in the same format. Our Lazy J 35 is apparently the second off the production line and you can probably guess who’s got the first. Trotting out the Lazy J roll-call again might not be necessary, but here’s a few just in case: David Gilmour, Paul Weller, Eric Clapton and that bloke out of the Who. Hoff isn’t the first designer to cram three 10″ speakers into a tight-fitting tweed jacket: Fender came out with the 3×10″ Bandmaster combo in 1955. The 35 is not some kind of Bandmaster clone, though – the circuitry is based on that of the 1×12″ Lazy J 40, with a few tweaks intended to get the best out of the new speaker configuration. Like the 40, the 35 uses a generic chassis designed for Fender clones and so, like the 40, it has a level control for the negative feedback loop that’s labelled – misleadingly or charmingly, depending on your attitude to such quirks – as Ground. Then there’s a Presence control, a three-way tone stack and Volume controls for the two channels, Bright and Normal. SoundWith a Gibson SG plugged into the normal channel, all the tone controls at halfway and Volume fairly low, it’s sweet, smooth and pure, and even at ‘barely awake’ levels there’s an easy, natural feel that makes you think the amp is part of the guitar and the guitar is part of you. It’s effortlessly nice, and while switching from humbuckers to a perky Jazzmaster might necessitate a few adjustments to the Treble and Presence controls, you’re never far from the perfect tweed tone here. The Bright channel is much more brisk and fiery, and running both channels together with a patch lead opens up your options further – including the option to crank both channels and party like it’s 1969. Just as nifty is the tremolo module, which provides smooth, vintage-style throbbing with just as much depth as you want – and the speed control on the footswitch is a feature that a lot of gigging guitarists are likely to welcome like free beer. One, borrowed from the Lazy J 40, changes the voltages within the preamp circuit for a slightly harder, more blackface-like sound; the other provides a preamp gain boost, more transparent and less pronounced than the push-pull on the Volume control. You shouldn’t expect radical revoicing: both of these little bonus features work on the assumption that, being a connoisseur of tweediness, you’re happy with the amp’s core tone and just want microscopic control over the details. VerdictUnfortunately we don’t have Pete Townshend’s fortune or his selection of Lazy J amps, so comparisons with the other models are difficult – but the 35 is surely no less sweet-sounding than the 40, and from memory, it may well be better.

5 Reason to Buy a Boutique Amp

Because we do specialize in high-end guitar amps, we get questions from time to time that all boil down to one question; Why should I spend more money on a boutique amp? Perfectly fair question, and one we love to field! In this article we’ll address the top 5 reasons to invest in a boutique amplifier. With boutique amp shops, the motive for building a certain model amp is quite different than a factory that is pumping out mass produced amps. For boutique builders the idea is build the best sounding amp possible, for the big shops the idea is to build the most cost effective and easy to produce amp possible that has the widest mass appeal. In our experience, most boutique amp builders are extremely passionate aboutt what they do. In these cases, it has as much to do with accounting as it does amp design. It’s definitely more cost effective than the guys that make amps by hand, but it’s really hard to argue that this style of making amps is in the same class as the boutique guys, and the differences are apparent. The problem arises when you look at how these decisions affect the performance of the amp in the long run. Being that the amp was designed with cost cutting in mind, very little thought is given to how the amp will perform over a long period of time. Most of the the boutique builders build their amps in quite the same way as their predecessors and if history is any indicator it’s probably safe to say they will still be rocking in half a century if not much longer. We have found, and you can look at it for yourself, that boutique amps hold their value drastically better than some of the mass produced brands. Most players don’t buy an amp to turn around and sell it, resale value may be something to consider when you invest in an amp. Ask anyone who has had a warranty issue with some of the larger amp producers and they will tell you it is often a nightmare trying to get it taken care of. It’s very rare to ever have an issue with a boutique amp to begin with. There are even a few builders that will actually repair an amp for life even if it no longer belongs to the original purchaser. If you take a quick glance at our website, it’s probably pretty clear… We’re fans of boutique tube amps.
